Tip 20-Saying Goodbye To Free Radical Damage..

The health benefits of antioxidant vitamins and minerals are among the most well documented facts of modern science.

If you supplement properly with antioxidants like beta carotene, selenium and vitamins C and E, you might live even longer than 120.

It is well documented that scientists believe we could easily have a life-span of 120 years all but for free radical damage to our cells.

It’s the major cause of aging and it’s the key to most of the degenerative diseases we suffer from.

Were it not for free radical damage, we would not ever get cancer of heart disease.

How do free radicals work?

Imagine a piece of fruit that you’ve bitten into, like an apple. Ever wonder why it turns brown? That’s oxidation or in other words, the work of free radicals.

Free radicals damage cells, promote cancer and actually change the structure of our bodies both at the molecular level and in a way that actually would be visible if you could see the inside of your arteries.

But there is solution. That’s when vitamins, C and E, beta carotene and selenium, probably the four most effective antioxidants, come to the rescue.

Numerous studies are showing that the doses recommended by the government’s minimum daily requirements are way too low.

It’s way better to supplement your diet with 1,500 to 5,000 mg of vitamin C, 200 to 800 IU of vitamin E, 10,000 to 30,000 IU of beta carotene and 75 to 150 mcg of selenium.

Don’t forget that eating organic will greatly increase your chances of getting some of these compounds naturally.  But since our food supply is sadly nutrient deficient, it’s not unusual to consider replacing meals with shakes that ensure you get all the nutrition and trace elements your body need.s
