All the time that I was cleansing for weight loss, I had the best of intentions.
That is, I truly did want to exercise, but just never got around to it.
Now I was successful and melted 25 inches off and lost 15 pounds, but I still carry the guilt from not having started an exercise plan which I know would have made my weight loss program way more effective.
Right now I am examining why I have procrastinated for so long and not started an exercise program.
I know that it is the best health booster there is and that there is no better way to keep weight gain at bay let along all the other benefits that go along with exercise.
So why am I avoiding exercise?
It’s not because I’m lazy, because I put in a full day of client care and homemaking and hardly take time to do something for me.
Maybe that’s it!
I don’t take the time for me!
I guess I’m not alone in that department as for many people, working out is one of the first things that goes when time gets tight. But from a health perspective it should not be something I’m willing to budge on.
Exercise should be scheduled into my week along with business meetings, meal times and sleep.
Now I read that if I write the time in on my calendar and treat it as a very important appointment, one that cannot be changed or missed, that I am more likely to do it consistently.
Another tip was that if I found it hard to psych myself up for a vigorous workout, one of the best things to do was to focus on the prize: a healthier, more trim me.
It was suggested also that using a tool such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to help change my beliefs could help me be more receptive to exercise and to remove the blockages I am invariably placing there.
After all I used this tool to change my beliefs about money. You can watch my YouTube video I did about that topic.
At least I don’t have to exercise to lose weight because a cleansing day every 2 weeks takescare of that as well as following the maintenance program during the week, but I do need to get off my slimmer butt and get busy with my weights and tread mill.
I’ll let you know how things are going.
