Diet Devastation Caused By HFCS…


Corn Refiners continue to fully blame the obesity epidemic of today on calorie increase and lack of exercise. However, the latest research places the blame quite rightfully back in their laps.

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) products are undoubtedly at fault.

The U. of Pennsylvania’s findings unveil the exact mechanism of how this process takes place.

If you look at fructose and compare it to sugar, it is shown that it does not cause an increase in the compound leptin. I spoke about leptin before and explained that it is the hormone which triggers our body’s central nervous system to stop eating.

So no leptin production and no signal to stop eating. Results? Overeating and thus too many calories!

The findings also revealed that fructose also increases the level of another compound, ghrelin, which is a compound that makes you want to eat more.

It’s easy to see here how our body’s natural ability to tell us when we are satisfied and should stop eating can get the wrong signals and in turn lead to weight gain and obesity.

Now let’s switch to diet pills. Pharmaceutical companies are trying to influence these same hormones and compounds which HFCS manipulates by creating diet pills to that effect. However, it is backfiring as instead of causing loss of appetite and weight loss, the opposite results.

The department of Agriculture in the US has completed data that links HFCS directly to skyrocketing diabetes and obesity.

It was when Nixon was in power that HFCS first entered our food supply. Since then our intake of this sweetener increased by a staggering 1,000%, surpassing all other food groups.

You would think that with a record like this, HFCS would be pulled from the market. No such luck.

The powers that be, follow the money, continue to falsely lead the public to believe HFCS are safe and desirable because they don’t raise insulin levels.

Another advantage to using HFCS in manufacturing is that it’s so cheap to produce, even more than cane sugar.

You won’t find HFCS just in soda and gummy bears. It is present in many breads, whole-grain cereals, fruit juices, energy bars, spaghetti sauces and pretty well all the snacks available.

That’s why it is so important to check the labels of the food and drink you consume. You will see it as corn syrup or a derivative of such. At least you will be aware as you eat or drink that “so-called” food that it will be fooling your body into eating more and helping you gain weight.

Is that really what you want?

One good way to get your cravings under control is to cleanse toxins from the body. I know that after 6 months of doing 2 days of cleansing each month, my cravings have nearly disappeared and with it so have 15 pounds and 25 inches of fat.

I no longer just open my mouth to unthinkingly fill it with junk that even my dog wouldn’t eat, if I had a dog, that is!!!
