Ever think about it? How can your words have anything to do with keeping you fat?

Let’s look at this from a simpler point of view. When you say “I’ve got to “lose weight” or “drop some pounds.”, what are these words really saying?

Losing weight” demonstrates a loss of something. I sure don’t like to lose at anything! Even the work “drop” brings on visions of dropping something by accident.

Then wouldn’t it be better if we were to change the way we talk in order to establish a more effective and clear goal through our words? How about saying that you will eliminate pounds and inches, that you are re-creating a new and slimmer you?  Aren’t these words more positive?

First of all, we have to know why we want something and set goals that can be reached.

We should also be picking a word that makes us feel good. As for diet and exercise, we have already internalized the goodness of that because we know that if we change how we eat, there will be something gained, the same with exercise.

Secondly, we need to figure out what drives us to do something. Are you someone that needs a support system or a special environment to motivate you? If so, then ask friends or family to help you on your journey to a new you.

Thirdly, is staying motivated. Your drive has to be motivated by pain. How can that be? Well, if you stay the way you are, you will be in pain because your health will suffer for it and get worse. It’s the pain of disease that will motivate you to stay on track

Maybe you have a fear of getting diabetes because it runs in your family. Well, you know darn well that diabetes is a diet induced problem 90% of the time. So change your diet and address weight issues and you will avoid pain.

It’s that simple but also that hard. If you are looking to changing some things in your lifestyle especially saying goodbye to extra pounds, then consider using my coaching talents in that arena.

It won’t cost you a cent and your health will be the better for it. CHow!
